This is about Champagne. My favorite elixir. And it’s about indulging without feeling the guilt, too much. These are not the times to be over the top. Champagne has a bad reputation. To be good, it has to be very expensive. But I’m here to prove you wrong. And give you back something you probably cut out of your budget after your investments went down 30 — 40%. These are strange times, but I’m trying to give you ways to celebrate life, reasonably, economically.
K & L Wines has procured the best of the boutique champagne houses in France. And that means you can get AMAZING champagnes ranging from $9.99 to $35. At the high end, these champagnes give the more expensive, well known brands a run for their money. At the low end pricing, well, there’s still a bit of competition. They are REALLY good. I mean REALLY GOOD.
Champagne is still a luxury, at any price, but don’t we all need a little break right now? And, when you’re invited to a dinner party, giving a gift of FABULOUS champagne that cost $15.99 is a bargain, a special gesture and a lovely secret.
You just don’t have to spend a lot of money to give something wonderful and luxurious. It’s the new opulence: sumptuously frugal. And just so you have a frame of reference, my tastes in champagne are dry, but with complex and rich flavors, along with a creamy texture and fine bubbles. All these champagnes fall somewhere in the range of my profile.
